The annual kick off to the Cariboo United Way Drive goes this afternoon in Williams Lake at the Stampede Grounds.
The drive runs through the end of December and gets going today with a community bar-b-que and outdoor movie.
The burgers will begin flying off the grill at 4 followed by the Pixar movie, “Finding Dory”.
Local organizer Ashley Hyde has set a lofty goal for this years event…So my campaign goal for 2016, for the Cariboo, so this includes the 100 Mile House area, is 128-thousand”.
There will also be childrens events and the admission is just five dollars, which goes toward the end goal.
Hyde also says they have great corporate sponsorship from Finning and Gibraltar Mine.
