The latest $140,000 donation from Dunkley Lumber has boosted the total money raised for the North Cariboo Arena Replacement Project in Quesnel to almost $9.6 million dollars.
That includes $4 million dollars from the Provincial Government and $2 million from the Northern Development Initiative Trust.
There is another $2.2 million dollars in Capital reserves from pre-tax money.
There is also more than $1.2 million dollars in pledges, another $96,500 in seat sales, approximately $32,000 in mural sales and more than $10,200 from things such as Kangaroo games, golf ball drops, and other donations.
Taxpayers have also given their approval in a referendum to borrow up to $7.5 million dollars.
Construction on the new arena is expected to begin in the spring.
