Parkinson’s SuperWalk Ready to go in 100 Mile House

This September 10th, 11th, and 17th the Parkinson Society of British Columbia will hold multiple walks throughout 23 communities in BC in order to raise money and awareness for the disease.

Philip Konrad, local organizer for the event lets us know when and where a local walk will be taking place.

“This Saturday, 1pm at Centennial Park and it’s not going to be a long walk or anything and anyone can show up.”

Konrad says as of 2013 there are 37 people in 100 Mile House living with Parkinson’s disease and 13,300 in the rest of the province.

This is the first ever Parkinson’s SuperWalk here in 100 Mile House.

Registration can be done online or at 1pm in Centennial Park.
