Bella Coola Airport is getting cash for new terminal

The province, costal first nations, B.C. Ferries and aboriginal tourism organizations yesterday announced a new, seasonal ferry route from POrt Hardy on Vancouver Island to Bella Coola.

The goal is to bring more tourists to the central coast to take advantage of the pristine scenery and the culture of the coast not seen anywhere else in the world.

Part of the announcement by Premiere Christy Clark was cash for a new terminal at the Bella Coola airport ” and we are also investing as part of this
about 200-thousand dollars in the Bella Coola Airport to help them build a new terminal that’s really going to be able to welcome people from around the world.”

The parties are hoping to have the new service up and running by the 2018 tourist season.
