According to a press release from Wayne Smith, Chief Statistician of Statistics Canada this year’s Census has achieved the best response rate ever.
The federal agency reports that the response rate to the mandatory survey was %98.4 with the long form version response rate coming in at %97.8.
Stats Canada will now turn it’s focus to the analysis of the Census data in a more timely fashion than ever before.
The Population and Dwelling counts from this years Census will be made available February.8th/2017 on the Statistics Canada website.
