it’s a big race day at thunder mountain speedway

It’s the one event race fans look forward to all season long.

The Memorial Race and Wescar Late Model Touring Series Regular Points Race is one of the biggest races of the year that will be taking place this afternoon at Thunder Mountain Speedway.

With Spectator gates opening at two this afternoon we asked Director Tim Westwick what fans that arrive early to the track can expect to see.

“Before the qualifying goes down we have hot lapping, the track’s open for hot lapping so you get to see all the drivers tuning their cars in. And with it being the Memorial race we usually dedicate some black flag laps to remember all the fallen drivers”.

With Wescar coming to town Qualifying is at four with racing at five at Thunder Mountain Speedway just west of Williams Lake.
