saturday night’s alright for racing at thunder mountain speedway

One of the biggest races of the season get going tomorrow afternoon at Thunder Mountain Speedway.

The Memorial Race and Wescar Late Model Touring Series Regular Points Race will have a full field of drivers who look forward to this event every year according to Thunder Mountain Speedway Director Tim Westwick.

“Wescar usually brings anywhere from a dozen to twenty cars. In our local classes I believe  our Street Stocks last year were at least a dozen as well. Our Bone Stock Minis I’d say were looking at ten to fifteen as well as the Pro Minis, it’s going to be a big show”.

Westwick says the Memorial Race celebrates all the fallen racers as well as the pit crew members and all the volunteers they lost over the past 20 to 30 years.

Qualifying is four with racing at five at Thunder Mountain Speedway just west of Williams Lake.
