vehicle incident causes some williams lake residents to be without power

A motor vehicle accident this morning around 8:20 left over two thousand Williams Lake residents without power.

A dump truck clipped a pole at the top of Carson Drive causing the outage.

The driver was not hurt and power went back on shortly after 9am

The BC Wildfire Service and Cariboo Chilcotin Natural Resource District will be conducting two prescribed burns in the Siwash area, 100 kms west of Williams Lake, starting on October 14 and continuing until October 24.
