Ski Resorts Embracing Snow Fall

Although everyone may not be happy with a large amount of snow in the forecast, ski resorts are embracing it.

Hildur Sinclair, co-owner and operator of Troll Hill Ski Resort, says the snowfall has ensured the resort’s opening mid-December.

“Once the snow has accumulated on the hill, we track-pack it and then put up our signage, get our fences up, and get everything set-up to make sure it’s safe for the skiers to come out.”

“With all this snow front coming down, it looks really, really good. It’s not tentative, it’s a firm-opening.”

Troll Hill Ski Resort will officially open for the winter season on December 12, with many other resorts within the Cariboo also expected to open that week.
