For West Quesnel residents, frustrated with delays because of all the roadwork being done on Anderson Drive, there is an end in site.
Quesnel City Councillor and Acting Mayor Laurey-Anne Roodenburg says “my understanding right now is on Anderson Drive they still need to install catch basins, curbs and gutters, sidewalks and pavement so that work is scheduled to be complete by September 6th which is when school starts.”
Roodenburg says crews will also be digging up the ground on Abbott Drive to start to install piping either later this week or early next week and she says that work is scheduled to be completed in October.
All of this is part of phase 2 of the West Quesnel Land Stability Program.
Meanwhile, Roodenburg is asking motorists to be patient, especially in light of what happened in Prince George yesterday when a flag person was struck and killed by a vehicle.
