Single Vehicle Crash In South Cariboo Now Claims Life

The driver of a vehicle that slammed into the rear of a parked chip truck trailer on Highway 97 near Canim Hendrix Lake Road has now succumbed to her injuries.

100 Mile House RCMP confirmed today that an 86-year old female, from the Salmon Arm area, passed away in hospital in Kamloops on Saturday. (Aug 6)

Her name has not been released.

Police say the woman was driving a small passenger car back on July 25th when the accident occurred.

She was the lone occupant.

A collision analyst from Williams Lake RCMP attended the scene along with members of the Cariboo Chilcotin Traffic Services section.

An investigation into the cause of the accident continues.
