RCMP Continue to Investigate Downtown Robbery

Quesnel RCMP is seeking the public’s help following a robbery in the downtown core Thursday afternoon.

Constable Krista Vrolyk says police received a report of a robbery just after 2 o’clock in the alley near Barlow Avenue and Reid Street.

Vrolyk says a woman was pushed to the ground by a male and robbed of an undisclosed amount of money.

“The suspect has been described as approximately 5 foot 10 to 6 feet tall with a heavy or stocky build, wearing black clothing, including jeans and a dark-colored hoodie, and dark colored glasses.”

Vrolyk says the victim was shaken up from a traumatic experience but otherwise was not hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Quesnel RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
