100 Mile House RCMP and the North District Major Crimes Unit are investigating a suspicious death in Deka Lake.
Corporal Dan Moskaluk says RCMP were asked on Friday (July 29) to conduct a well being check on a 72-year male at a residence in the 7600 block of Julsrud Road in Deka Lake.
Police attended and located the man deceased.
Moskaluk says he has since been identified as Gary Edwards.
Investigators have established that Mr. Edwards was last seen five days earlier on Sunday, July 24th.
Moskaluk says police would like to talk to anyone who may have spoken to Edwards or had direct contact with since that date.
Anyone with information can call the RCMP or Crimestoppers.
