Ottawa Wants To Know What You Think About Climate Change

The Conservative MP for Kamloops/Thompson/Cariboo is urging people to take part in consultation on climate change.

Cathy McLeod says the deadline to take part in the Federal Government’s on-line survey is this Monday, August 1st.

“they are asking some pretty important questions in terms of how they should move forward and I know there are a lot of opinions out there, whether there should be a carbon tax or not, how much effort we should put into different types of energy.”

McLeod says it is important for regular citizens to have some input because she says what tends to happen is that special interest groups dominate the feedback.

From her perspective, McLeod says she feels there needs to be a balance between economic opportunities and doing something to lower our carbon footprint.
