wl tour de cariboo has 2 new wrinkles

Usually it’s a 76-kilometre bike ride from Williams Lake to Gavin Lake but the 24th Anniversary of the Tour  De Cariboo also includes a 100 kilometre route as Excutive Director of Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Melissa Newberry explains how they added the additional clicks to the route.

“When they get to the Gavin Lake turn off they’ll ride another 12 kilometers. We’ll have a safe turn around point that is marshaled. They’ll ride back 12 kilometers onto the gravel  road off  to Gavin Lake and they will have done their 100 kilometers”.

Newberry says another new wrinkle to this years tour is a bouldering cave which riders and anyone else at the event can try and should only take four minutes to complete.

The 24th Williams Lake Tour De Cariboo rolls out of the Lake City on September 10th.
