Quiet Billy Barker Days For Quesnel RCMP

Despite the large crowd, It was a relatively quiet Billy Barker Days for the Quesnel RCMP.

Andrew Burton, The Staff Sargeant and Detachment Commander, says

“Billy Barker Days 2016 was a success from a policing standpoint. The crowd was very well behaved, we ended up with 174 calls for service and 41 persons in custody. Both of these numbers are down from previous years.”

The 174 calls for service were down from 183 last year and 231 in 2014.

Burton says there were no major incidents and the majority of the calls for service were for public intoxication.
