mayor and organizers very pleased with the 40th annual bc elders gathering in williams lake

It’s day two of the 40th Annual BC Elders Gathering in the Lake City.

Williams Lake Mayor Walt Cobb has been busying attending many of the events including yesterday’s Grand Entry at the Cariboo Memorial Complex and was quite impressed by it.

But he was not the only one, organizers are very pleased as well at how the city is helping to make this gathering a success.

“The organizers came to me on two different occasions and said how impressed they are with the city of Williams Lake and the involvement of city council in helping organize.  And the community itself, the amount of volunteers that have came out to help and assist. So we’ve open our hearts and opened our arms for the gathering so let’s hope it’s not the last one”.

Cobb went on to say that a totem pole will be presented tomorrow to the city of Williams Lake for hosting this years 40th Annual BC Elders Gathering.
