Rain Rain Go Away

July, as you may have noticed, has been quite wet so far.

That not so obvious fact has been confirmed by Environment Canada Meteorologist Lisa Coldwell.

“the first 11 days of July, 2016, quesnel has seen 49.3 millimeters of rain to date and compare that to a normal of 65.6 so we’re sitting at 75 percent already for the first 11 days of what a monthly allotment should be.”

Coldwell says it hasn’t been quite as wet in Williams Lake but the Lake City has also seen more rain than normal.

34 millimeters has already fallen this month, which is about 64 percent of the normal total of 52.7

Of course none of these totals include today’s (July 12) rainfall.
