The 100 Mile Mens Fastball League playoffs get underway tonight at Lumberman’s Park.
Steve Almond, who plays for “Jakes Pub” says the playoffs always brings out the best from all the teams competing.
“It’s definitely a little more intense, people take things a little more seriously and its been a great league and a good season I mean one of the biggest things about our league is you know we’re sorta friends on and off the field with the other teams, we know each other pretty well cause we’ve all been competing against each other for several years.”
“Jakes Pub” currently sits 1st place in the standings and will take on the Sanford Hornets in tonight’s 1st game at 6pm.
The 2nd game will feature the Shuswap Defenders taking on the 100 Mile N Hour Bantam Boys, that game gets underway at 8pm.
Round robin play will wind up on Thursday night with the best of 3 game series finals beginning on Monday night.
