Quesnel RCMP Arrest a Youth Found Swinging An Ax

A youth with an ax was taken into custody in West Quesnel this morning.

As Sergeant Darren Dodge explains, they were called to a residence on Robertson Avenue at around 8:40…

“According to the complainant, there was a male outside the residence yelling and screaming, swinging an ax and damaging property. Police arrived within two minutes and shortly located the male in a trailer on the property.”

Dodge says he was quickly arrested.

He says an ax was seized along a separate knife that was located on him.

The 16-year old male, from Quesnel, is facing charges of Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Mischief and Causing a Disturbance.
