A clutch win for the Quesnel Crossfire in the Prince George Senior Lacrosse League last night. (July 4)
The Crossfire knocked off the visiting PG Assault 13 to 6 at the Twin Ice Arenas to earn a playoff spot.
In fact, Quesnel moves into 3rd place out of the 6 teams with a record of 6 and 9 and will now meet the 2nd place team, the PG Devils, in the semi-finals.
A loss would have eliminated the Crossfire from the post-season.
Getting back to last night’s game, Bryston Waffle paced the offence with 5 goals.
Garth Kennedy chipped in with a goal and 4 assists and Dusty Cathcart had 2 goals and 2 assists.
