Changes To StrongStart Program In Quesnel

The Quesnel School District has announced a couple of changes to the StrongStart programs in the District.

Cynthia Bernier, the Director of Instruction/Curriculum, says they will still be offering three full-time programs and an outreach program four days a week next year.

Bernier says the change is the location.

She says the one at Riverview, because the space is needed for a classroom, is being relocated to the annex behind Quesnel Junior
School.

Bernier says there will also be a full-time program at Bouchie Lake elementary in the fall.

She says the outreach program was two days each at Bouchie Lake and Barlow Creek this past year but the outreach program will now be four days at just Barlow Creek.

Bernier says the one location that won’t change in the fall is that a full-time program will remain at Ecole Baker elementary.

StrongStart programs are free of charge and are open to all zero to five year olds in the community along with their parents or caregivers.
