New Mural At Boitanio Park

Artists took to Boitanio Park over the weekend to help paint a mural.

President of the Cariboo Arts Society, Pat Corvette, was on hand to oversee the work that now graces Gwen Pharis Ringwood Ampitheatre stage.

“This is the third year that it’s been done. The first year we did a circular design-a mandala in front of the washrooms in Boitanio Park and then last year we started this one. We hope to eventually get enough painters so we paint the whole stage here every year.”

Corvette says the mandala represents the four races-black, white, yellow, and red.

She says it is then surrounded by an outside ring of 16 different segments representing the 16 artists who helped add their own touch to the mural.
