A local minor hockey player will get to live out her dream tonight when the Vancouver Canucks host the Arizona Coyotes
Thanks to the Every Ki’ s Dream program, 10-year-old Shayne Sutton of the 108Â Mile Ranch will get to hit the ice for the pre-game skate and national anthems with her hockey heroes.
Shayne’s mother, Roxanne Sutton, points out how special it is that her daughter gets to have this experience.
“So every kid from the ages of 8 to 13 in BC that are registered with BC minor hockey, they have the chance to win this contest so my daughter got chosen to go.”
Shayne meanwhile wasn’t shy in expressing her excitement about sharing the ice with her heroes, including her favorite-Kevin Bieksa.
“Really, really exciting…I can’t really tell. I’m hyper, very, very hyper, and grateful.”
