One organization in Williams Lake and another in Lone Butte have received a combined $42,200 under the BC Government’s Community Gaming Grant Program.
Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin Society was given $32,500 and the Interlakes Community Centre Society picked up $9,700.
“These organizations are an important part of their communities by exposing residents and visitors to valuable and interesting programs,” Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Donna Barnett said. “This funding helps ensure their programs will expand, and I am proud that our government supports them.”
Every year, the Provincial Government approves 1-hundred thirty-five million dollars in gaming grants that benefit more than five thousand local non-profit organizations that serve communities throughout BC.
