Street Party Gets the Green Light

The Williams Lake Street Party is a go ahead!

Mayor Walt Cobb says although it’s downsized this year, he thinks it’s great that it’s happening.

“I was involved in the very first street party when I had my store on Hodgson Place Mall by the Bank of Montreal there and that’s where we started. We closed off that street and got the two parking lots together and did all the stuff in there. Yeah, it’s downsized, but I think it’s great that it’s happening.”

The WLCBIA had been contemplating of opting out of  planning the Street Party for this year and into the future.

The Party which will run downtown on 2nd Avenue between Oliver and Yorston takes place on July 2nd.

WLCBIA Director and Representative for Cannuck Properties, Sarah Hutchins, will be planning it.
