Volunteers are being sought to help stuff gift bags for the 4000 Elders who will be coming to Williams Lake next month.
BIA summer student Sarah Hanet says they need a minimum of 10 volunteers for the two four hour shifts.
“They’re very important. Basically it’s not going to happen unless we can get volunteers. We have some, but we need more. So if you want to come please contact us; we would love to have you.”
The gift bag stuffing runs from 11am until 3pm and 3pm until 7pm on July 9th.

Hanet says that 47% of the merchants have agreed to give a 10% discount for the Elders and have so far donated over 2,000 pens to go into the bags.
The 40th Annual BC Elders Gathering takes place in Williams Lake from July 11th to 14th.
