The City of Quesnel will be showing their pride today for the LGBTQ community.
Martina Feldman, Vice President of the Pride Society, says their second annual pride parade gets underway today
“I think it’s important to just educate the community to bring the community together because this is another event where the community just kind of bands together to create an amazing event like this to raise awareness of tolerance, acceptance, and the diversity that exists in the community.”
Feldman says the support that they’ve received from the local community has been amazing.
The parade gets underway at City Hall starting at noon with events in Lebourdais Park until 3:30 pm followed by a Pride After Party at the Occidental.
