A Quesnel cowgirl was a double winner at a BC Rodeo Association stop in Kispiox.
Taylor Cherry was paid well after winning both the Ladies Barrel Racing and the Breakaway Roping.
Cherry earned more than 16-hundred and 60 dollars.
That highlighted an impressive weekend for Quesnel competitors.
Perri Lynn Leneve earned almost 830 dollars for being the runner-up in the Ladies Barrels.
Steve Lloyd, a former Canadian champion from Quesnel, was first in the Tie Down Roping and Ryan McNaughton and his partner Dustin Shields from Vanderhoof captured the Team Roping championship with a time of 7 and 6.
Two Williams Lake competitors won junior events…Brianna Billy in the Junior Barrel Racing and Cordell Pinchbeck in the Steer Riding.
Still with rodeo, Alex Fraser Park in Quesnel will be the site of the BC High School Rodeo Finals this coming weekend.
