100 Mile House Resident named finalist for Extreme Huntress Competiton

Candace Knudsen a resident of 100 Mile House has been named one of the 6 finalists worldwide for the 2017 Extreme Huntress Competition.

Although the majority of the feedback Knudsen has received since becoming a finalist has been positive she says that not everyone has been so kind.

“It’s very serious and a lot of people are against it (hunting) there are more against it than for it, I’ve gotten quite a few negative messages on Facebook and even death threats, and things like that.”

Knudsen will now head to the Triple 7 ranch in San Antonio July 9th to spend a week competing against the other 5 finalists before returning home.

Episodes of the competition will then air online at GetZone.com once a week for 26 weeks with the winner being announced in January of 2017 at the Dallas Safari Club annual black tie awards dinner.
