Wilson wins Fellow Award

It’s not an award that’s given to many people but now you can add a Williams Lake man to that list.
Ken Wilson was recently honored with the Fellow of the BC Chamber of Commerce.

“They read out the different things that the person has done and when it got down to the part where they said and this person has also been in the Royal Canadian Navy, I thought gee that might be me,” says Wilson who has been a member of the Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce for over 30 years.

“It was a real shock because there are many, many good people in the BC Chamber who certainly could have received this award as well.”

Only 29 other chamber members have received the Fellow of the BC Chamber of Commerce Award in the past 69 years, which recognizes individuals who have given exemplary and outstanding service to the Chamber network in B.C.

Executive Director for the Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce, Claudia Blair says Wilson’s experience, knowledge and passion for chamber work has provided invaluable mentoring for the Board.
