South Cariboo Crash Sends Two To Hospital

Two people were seriously injured in a three vehicle accident in the South Cariboo on Sunday. (May 29)
100 Mile House RCMP say emergency crews were called to a collision on Highway 24 near Fawn Creek Road.
Police say the driver of an east-bound Toyota Highlander lost control of her vehicle during a weather event and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic colliding with a west-bound Jeep Liberty.
The first vehicle was then struck by another east-bound vehicle.
RCMP say one person was immediately airlifted from the scene to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops while another was taken to local hospital before being sent to Kamloops.
Weather and deteriorating road conditions are being blamed for the crash.
An investigation continues.
