School District 28 All Candidates Forum Approaching

An all-candidates forum is taking place at 6 o’clock in the boardroom at the school district office on North Star Road.

The event is being organized by the Quesnel District Teachers Association.

President Lisa Kishkan goes over the format for the evening…

“We sent out a questionnaire to trustees asking them some general questions about why they’re interested in running and what they think that they can bring to the table in terms of local governance. We’re planning on having each school board trustee candidate introduce themselves and give background. Then we’ll have questions from the floor.”

There are 9 people running for 7 trustee positions.

That includes incumbents Gloria Jackson, George Natalizio , Tony Goulet, Howi Schonke, and David Chapman as well as potential newcomers Wendy Clement, Mitch Guitardm, Angela Mezzatesta, and Julie-Anne Runge.
