GR Baker Memorial Hospital has some new equipment thanks to the Hospital Auxiliary.
Pat Triesierra, the Manager of Critical Care and Surgery, says their donation of $36,788 was used for a couple of things, including what’s called a BYPAP ventilator to assist patients with their breathing…
“It can work in 2 different scenarios. People with difficulty breathing with COPD, it helps with their breathing and also if patients have to be put on a ventilator, it works as a ventilator as well.”
Triesierra says they also purchased two sets of lighting to help physicians see while they are suturing patients or doing a close observation or assessment.
