Lac La Hache Fire Department Saves House from Fire

A quick reaction from 2 volunteer fire agencies saw a house saved on Doyle Rd. in Lac La Hache on Wednesday.

Terry Murphy, fire chief for the Lac La Hache fire department says help was needed to extinguish the blaze.

“We called in mutual aid, 108 Fire Department sent out 2 trucks and 6 members to assist the 11 members and 3 trucks we already had on scene.”

Murphy says there was fire damage, smoke damage, and water damage to some rooms in the basement but the majority of the house is still intact.

No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
