Cariboo SPCAs Partner to Find Homes for Pets Affected by Wildfires in Peace Region

Cats and dogs from Fort St. John and Dawson Creek are now finding new homes in the Cariboo.

Williams Lake SPCA Branch Manager Liz Dighton says the animals arrived last week Wednesday evening.

“The Fort St. John SPCA was helping with all the animals from families that had to be evacuated (due to wildfires). Their branch was full so we with the help of Quesnel arranged for a transfer.”

Dighton says they mainly received cats adding that nearly half of the animals have already found their furever homes.
