New School Buses for School District 27

Students in School District 27 will have an even safer, and more comfortable way of getting to school, as the provincial government will fund four new school buses.

Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Donna Barnett says she is happy that this marks the fourth year that the Ministry of Education has worked with the Association of School Transportation Services to procure the buses at the best possible prices.

“I think we all have to work together on all initiatives, and the more we can collaborate the better our systems will work…In rural British Columbia, a lot of our children spend a couple of hours a day on school buses-that is their means to get to school and safety is the number one priority.”

“It is wonderful that the funding is there for the ability to get new transportation systems for our students.”

The four new buses will roll into School District 27 this spring through the provincial funding of $452,016.
