Cody Nicholson is hoping for the community of Williams Lake to rally behind his best friend who was the victim of a dispute that turned violent Sunday.
He says he thought a gofundme campaign was perhaps the best idea they could come up with for anyone to show their support for Clayton’s fight back.
“He’s doing quite a bit better. I think it was pretty scary at the start, but he’s awake. They’ve pulled the tubes and everything out, so he’s able to talk…We’re definitely hoping for the best.”
Nicholson says he has known Clayton since they were about 12 years old at Mountview Elementary School, and have remained good friends since.
He says his parents who also run 4 Sure Bistro will be accepting donations for Clayton and his family as well.
Clayton was flown out of the community to Kamloops for further medical treatment after being violently stabbed multiple times Sunday morning.
