Williams Lake Stabbing Victim In Critical Condition

More details have been released in connection with a violent incident in Williams Lake early Sunday morning.

Corporal Dave Tyreman, with North District RCMP, confirms that police were called to a reported stabbing at the corner of Lakeview Crescent and Broadway Avenue South just before 2 o’clock.

Tyreman says they located a 27-year old male in medical distress.

He says “he was taken to hospital, was flown out immediately and is still in critical condition.”

Tyreman says the investigation is still in the early stages but they believe the incident may have carried on from a local business in the area.

He says “at the time there have been some kind of disagreement or argument or something but it’s not one of those random things so nobody is at risk at this point.”

Tyreman says they are not sure how many people were involved at this point but he says they are still trying to track that down and obtain video surveillance.
