Three projects all funded by transitional funding, have been given the green light by Quesnel City Council with a price tag of $65,000.
The 3 projects are as follows:
1. $30,000 dollars for an airport business plan update
2. $15,000 to update the City marketing plan
3. $20,000 for an economic analysis of opening up the Nechako Basin with road access.
City Manager Byron Johnson comments.
Johnson noted that it could also have an impact on employment in the region.
Councillor Shushil Thapar voted against the decision saying he couldn’t justify spending the money on consultants.
