CRD Advanced Voting Steady With Fair Turnout

The first day of advanced voting was steady, but fair according to the Cariboo Regional District.

Alice Johnston, Corporate Officer with the CRD, says the next advanced voting opportunity before the Nov. 15 civic election, will take place on Monday.

“It’s the one time of year to come out and have your say locally, where you can have a big impact on the type of community that you live in and where your tax dollars are spent. We typically don’t get a big percentage of eligible voters out; we’re hoping to see that change.”

Johnston reminds eligible voters to come prepared with two pieces of ID.

Almost 200 voters in the Cariboo Regional District took to the advance polls yesterday.
