West Fraser Will Rebuild

Good news from West Fraser today as the company announced that it plans to resume manufacturing at the MDF plant at WestPine in October.
It was the site of an explosion and fire back in March.
James Gorman, the Vice President of Corporate Relations at West Fraser, says they will be designing and installing new equipment over the next several months.
He says it will enable the mill to resume production and ensure that there is a much safer working environment for everyone at the plant.
Gorman says they are satisfied that they now understand what caused the fire and he says they will re-engineer the equipment to make sure that if it does fail, it fails safely.
Around 100 employees work at the MDF plant.
Gorman says they have remained on the payroll since the incident and he says they will continue to work while the plant is being re-built.
