High Advance Voter Turnout Across the Cariboo

Advance polls were extremely popular throughout the Cariboo yesterday.

666 people cast their vote for Mayor and Council in Williams Lake.

That’s up from just 386 in 2011.

There is a 2nd advance poll coming up on Wednesday in Williams Lake.

In 100 Mile House, 139 people took advantage of advance voting, up from 88 in 2011.

The last chance to vote in 100 Mile will be on General Election Day on the 15th.

And there were 396 advance votes at City Hall in Quesnel.

That tops the 2011 figure of 316.

Quesnel residents still have two more opportunities to vote prior to election day.

An advance poll will take place this Saturday at City Hall from 8 am until 8 pm and then again on Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 11 am until 4 pm at the College.
