SPCA Seizes Animals from Horsefly Property

On April 28th Local SPCA staff seized a number of farm animals from a property in Horsefly under the cruelty to animals act.

Lorie Chortyk, spokesperson for the SPCA says 17 animals were taken in the most recent visit to the property but this isn’t the first time they have been there.

The animals they have taken in to care include cows, sheep, chickens, rabbits and goats which will end on foster farms.

3 dogs and 1 cat were also seized and they will be cared for by the SPCA under compassionate boarding until a family member can claim them.
