Hockey players from the Cariboo and Chilcotin will be on the ice today in Mississauga, Ontario representing Team BC at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships!
Councillor with the Anaham (Tl’etinqox) First Nation, Cecil Grinder says the players are setting a great example.
“Even the players that tried out, they’re really great role models for our communities. We just need to bring these sports back to our youth. For me, I’m going to be utilizing to see our Tl’etinqox conditioning camp we have end of August and ask these players to be instructors to represent our youth.”
Representing Team BC for the Male Team is brothers Chase and Daine Dubois, and Cory Loring, with Tamara William, Ruthie Jackson, and Sarah Jarvis playing for the Female Team.
