Northern Capital Defenceman Selected to BC Hockey Female Midget AAA All-Star Team

Two Northern Capitals, defenceman Victoria Byer of Williams Lake and forward Sage Desjardins of Terrace have been selected to the BC Hockey Female Midget AAA All-Star Team for the 2015-2016 season.

Byer was part of a Capitals defense that allowed just 44 goals against in 30 regular season games and helped the team to a Provincial FMAAA Championship.

The 5’11 Byers tallied 12 points (5G, 7A) and garnered Player of the Month honours in December.
She will play hockey for the Mount Royal University Cougars (CIS) next season.

Desjardins was the FMAAA’s second-leading scorer this season, tallying 36 points (17G, 19A) in regular season play and helping her team to the FMAAA Championship for the second straight year.

Desjardins finished her FMAAA career as the league’s all-time leading scorer, with a total of 99 points (36G, 63A) in three (3) seasons.

She will head to the University of Calgary (CIS) in the fall.
