Woman Saves Husband in Mobile Home Fire

A mobile home is a complete loss following a fire earlier this week.

150 Mile Fire Chief Stan McCarthy says he was the first to arrive on scene Tuesday night at 11:45 and that the kitchen and living room where fully engulfed in flames.

He says the couple inside, were quite lucky.

“They were both sleeping in their back bedroom…They were outside and I put them in my vehicle to keep warm because they didn’t have much clothing.”

Vanessa says she got her husband to the window and they go out.

She says “her husband then ran around the house to break down the door and save their puppies.”

McCarthy says about 20 crews members quickly attacked the blaze and put it out fairly quickly.

He says although there is no word on the cause, the fire appears to have started in the kitchen area.
