Rain and cooler temperatures to start the first week of Fall in parts of the Cariboo

It’s the first full day of Fall in the Cariboo.

To find out what Mother Nature has in store for us in the days ahead we asked Environment Canada Meteorologist Matt Loney.

“Right now there is a warm front coming through the region until a cold front sets in Tuesday (September 22) night, early Wednesday morning, when we’ll see a chance of showers moving through the area. In the later part of the week things stabilize a little bit more, it looks like we have a nice Thursday in store and temperatures may be closer to seasonal maybe on the cool side compared to what we’ve been experiencing recently.”

Heading into the weekend Loney said a cold front will move into the region that will generate another chance of rain probably on Saturday into Saturday night.

Williams Lake and Quesnel will receive most of the precipitation with highs in the low to mid teens while 100 Mile House will be slightly warmer and cloudy.
