New Development Possibly In The Works For Quesnel

A rezoning application for a new bowling alley and mini golf recreation centre came before Quesnel City Council last night.

Tanya Turner, the Director of Development Services, says it would be a two storey facility located at the corner of Vallhalla Road and Racing Road.

She says it is approximately 13 thousand square feet and includes 12 bowling lanes, 18-hole black light mini golf and a minor food concession.

Turner says the owner’s also intend to have a retail facility attached to the building.

The site area is 4.2 acres and this project would take up about one third of that.

Turner says they also intend to develop around the site in the future.

Staff will now draft a bylaw to amend the zoning for Council’s consideration.

If approved it would be followed by public consultation.
