Stage Now Set For Quesnel Volunteer Citizen Of The Year

Quesnel went from possibly not having a citizen of the year for 2015 to having more nominations than ever before.
City Councillor Ron Paull, the Chair of the Volunteer Citizen of the Year Committee, says they now have a record 8 nominees.
That’s compared to having zero less than a week earlier.
Paull says the winner, as always, will be selected by the former citizens of the year.
He says they have their work cut out for them.
The nominees are Michelle Pelletier, Josie Whitehead, Rick Wittner and Jackie Sarginson, Ashley Schmidt, Tim Cawdell, Sheila Pritchard, Rick Prosk and Rose Gaetz.
The winner will be announced at the 36th annual awards banquet in the Billy Barker Casino showroom on April 19th.
